Copper Marans Eggs
Copper Marans are a truly stunning breed, full of personality and vigor. They are a large bird who lay large eggs that hatch into large chicks. They are an almost regal site around the homestead, gorgeous and they know it!
Copper Marans are known for their exceptionally dark brown, large eggs. Hens lay their darkest eggs at point of lay and after molt when they start a new laying season, after that the eggs fade over the course of the season. These eggs can look almost "red", be very heavily speckled, and have rose or almost purple blooms on them.
This year we refreshed our lines with some stunning Black Copper Marans from Sage Acres and these will be our main line marans for the seaon. We still have some of our original lines reaching back over 10 years from Brian Park, Beverly Davis, and Little Peddler.
Most of our Copper Marans this season will be black with a few possibly with blue plumage, all with feathered shanks.
Shipping
Eggs are packaged in custom foam shippers, double boxed, and sent USPS priority two to three day mail. We ship eggs that are a maximum of three days post-lay at time of shipping. We do our very best to protect the eggs from rough handling, but we have no control over what happens to the box once it leaves our possession.
**PLEASE NOTE** Starting in 2025 USPS has added a $15 surcharge for all priority boxes (Eggs), and $7.50 for all Priority Express boxes (Chicks) for live a perishable goods. We have had to adjusted our shipping charges to cover this additional expense.
